Thursday 1 March, the third meeting of the National Cancer Research Network ECRN and its scientific conference starts where the President of Alexandria University Dr. Essam El Kurdi hosts the presidents of (South Valley - Zagazig - Menoufia – Sohag - Fayoum - Minya - Beni Suef) Universities.
Dr. Noha Awad; the executive director of AU Center for Cancer Research said that the conference will be attended by Dr. Emad Hegazi, the Executive Director of Science and Technology Development Fund, and the deans of the faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Nursing from participating universities in addition to researchers and faculty members.
The conference will discuss how ECRN can contribute to achieve the objectives of the national strategy for science and technology (Egypt Vision 2030). It will also discuss research priorities in the field of cancer research in Egypt and study the needs of young researchers for training in fields related to cancer research and activation of cancer prevention plans.
The National Cancer Research Network is a network of research cooperation between universities and academic institutions in Egypt that aims at encouraging scientific cooperation between the Egyptian universities and activating the utilization of research outputs in the field of cancer research and maximizing the returns on the national economy from research investments.
